Nursing Care Options
MaineSail works closely with local physicians to provide short-term care and long-term stays with the support of 24 hour nursing and clinical staff.
Short-Term Care
The goal of MaineSail’s Short-term Care program is to get you back on your feet and back to your normal life as quickly as possible.
Our Short-Term Care programs provide physical, occupational and speech therapy services, as well as 24-hour nursing services to patients who have been discharged from a hospital to a nursing care facility and need rehabilitation and recovery services to return home. Payment for short-term skilled services generally comes from Medicare (including Medicare Advantage Programs), Managed Care Insurance Programs, or private funds.
Long-Term Care
People who require 24-hour nursing services and are not yet able to return to home safely can be admitted to our long-term care program. They can be admitted from hospitals, other care facilities, or home. MaineSail’s Long-term Care programs may also include nursing level memory care that provides services to people that require nursing services along with specialized memory care programs. Payment for long-term nursing care can be from the State’s MaineCare (Medicaid) program, private pay, or Long-term Care Insurance.

The goal in MaineSail’s outstanding short-term rehabilitation program is to get you back on your feet and back to your normal life as quickly as possible. We also provide compassionate care for residents that are not able to return home safely.
